La Galerie Wishbone présente Ravauder l’invisible, une exposition collective réunissant Erin Frost (Mexique), Benjamin Perron (Canada), Niina Villanueva (Finlande), Janna Yotte (Canada).
Réunie sous le titre « Ravauder l’invisible », l’exposition s’ancre dans une pensée de la réparation. Ravauder : raccommoder des habits usagés, rapiécer ce qui a servi. Le mot vient du geste ordinaire, du refus de jeter, de l’entretien patient de ce qui a été porté. Son usage déborde ici le textile pour nommer ce qui se fait à même la faille, quand se refaire ne signifie pas rendre à l’identique.

Wishbone Gallery presents Ravauder l’invisible, a group exhibition bringing together (Mexique), .perron_ (Canada), (Finlande), (Canada).
Ravauder: to mend worn clothing, to patch what has already been used. The word comes from an ordinary gesture, from the refusal to discard, from the patient care of what has been worn. Here, its meaning extends beyond textiles to name what takes shape within the fracture itself, when remaking oneself does not mean restoring things exactly as they were.
