IMCA400 PUB DROP!!! Hot off the press! An Interesting publication put together by the graduating class of IMCA, distributed for IMCAFEST in collaboration with Club IMCA. 16 artists were each given one page in the XL broadsheet newspaper format, and the freedom to do whatever they wanted with that page. The work of these artists will also be featured in the online exhibition on imcafest.ca on Tues April 27th.

Look out for the publication coming soon to Montreal artist-run centres and galleries! DM us if you’d like a copy! The publication will also be available online as part of the Fine Arts Reading Room digital archive launch.

itriedcallingyou.cargo.site is a product of some /visual research/ I’ve been doing around the “translation” of images from one media to another. Images speak a language more nuanced than words and what “words” get lost when an image turns into a drawing, into a photocopy, into a collage, into a rug, a screen print, etc. I’m currently trying to funnel these thoughts and the pieces into a website. Let me know what you think! :-)
