This event at the Centre Avenir Center venue was truly meaningful for our KOLO - Ukrainian Living Culture. We were honored to represent Ukrainian culture alongside many other cultures from around the world and to share our traditions with everyone who gathered that evening to cheer for the Moncton Wildcats, who, by the way, delivered an excellent performance.
We know well that events like this are made possible through significant work that often remains unseen - hours, days, and weeks of preparation, attention to detail, and the genuine dedication of those who make such gatherings possible.
For this reason, we are deeply grateful to Macalisang and her team for the invitation, the trust, and for bringing the idea of the International Day with the Wildcats to life. Thanks to your efforts, this day became a space for a true meeting of cultures, mutual respect, and a strong sense of community.
We would also like to sincerely thank the MAGMA - AMGM team for their continued support of migrants and cultural heritage, and for being part of this day. A particularly meaningful moment was when a MAGMA representative performed the ceremonial puck drop, officially opening the game.
