Nous vous présentons / Presenting : Natasha Barlow ✨️

Natasha is a Mi’kmaw multidisciplinary artist from Indian island First Nation. With a background in theatre, writing, film and fashion design. Natasha has been dancing women’s traditional since she was a child. She was taught by her late grandmother Mary Barlow. In the past years,Ko’jua, a traditonal Mi’kmaw dance, has become one of Natasha favorites styles to dance.

Natasha est une artiste multidisciplinaire mi'kmaw originaire de la Première Nation d'Indian Island. Elle a une formation en théâtre, en écriture, en cinéma et en stylisme. Natasha pratique la danse traditionnelle féminine depuis son enfance. Elle a été formée par sa grand-mère Mary Barlow, aujourd'hui décédée. Au cours des dernières années, la Ko'jua, une danse traditionnelle mi'kmaw, est devenue l'un des styles de danse préférés de Natasha.

Nous vous présentons / Presenting: Melissa Page-Webster ✨️

Melissa is a dance educator, choreographer, and business owner based in Truro, Nova Scotia. A Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and certified Rambert Grades instructor, she has over 30 years of experience training with and learning from leading artists including Peggy Baker and Darryl Tracy. As an independent dance artist, she has performed and choreographed numerous works which have been presented at festivals such as Art At Night in New Glasgow, the Saint John Contemporary Dance Festival and The Halifax Fringe Festival.

Melissa is a mentor with DANS’ Ready to Rise program and a four-time nominee for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards. She is currently in rehearsals for a new work with former RWB principal Liam Caines, premiering in 2026.

Melissa est professeure de danse, chorégraphe et chef d'entreprise à Truro, en Nouvelle-Écosse. Nous vous présentons / Presenting: Lydia Zimmer ✨️

Lydia Zimmer (BFA ’11, Boston Conservatory) is a Halifax-based dancer and choreographer. She has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts and Arts Nova Scotia and attended residencies in Iceland, Bulgaria, Banff Centre, and Ireland’s Síolta Residency. Her company, ZIMMERDANS, premiered The Devil’s Intervals to sold-out audiences in Live Art Dance’s 23/24 season. Recent works include Mercurials for Mocean Dance and Xenofauna for Atlantic Ballet Theatre’s ImpactFest. Recognized with the Emerging Artist Recognition Award from Creative Nova Scotia, Lydia recently performed the solos if you forget me and Night Crawler at Festival of Dance Annapolis Royal, and Extremophile at Dance: Made in Canada’s WYSIWYG program.

Nous vous présentons / Presenting: Lee Saunders ✨️

Choreographer, dancer, composer, singer, potter, and published author Lee is internationally known for her approach to voice & movement. She has a BFA from the NS College of Art & Design, and is a Master Somatic Movement Educator & Therapist, Pilates & Yoga Instructor and retired Naturopathic Doctor.

Born in NB, she lives on the family farm in Intervale, NB. Her teaching is sought by vanguards in dance, movement & health. Her writing is published in professional journals and anthologies on body-mind movement & autism such as the ‘British Journal of Humanistic Psychology’ and the Body-Mind Centering® journal ‘Currents’.

Critics describe her performances as: "Primitive and cerebral, mysterious and simple; Clear, accessible and lovely." Awards include the Prix Éloizes 'Artist of the year in Dance', YWCA Woman of Distinction In the Arts, and the Body-Mind Centering® International Award for writing on the Somatic Methods.

Chorégraphe, danseuse, compositrice, chanteuse, potière, et auteure publiée, Lee est internationalement connue pour son approche de la voix et du mouvement. Elle est titulaire d'un BFA du NS College of Art & Design, et est maître éducatrice et thérapeute en mouvement somatique, instructrice de Pilates et de yoga et médecin naturopathe à la retraite.

Née à NB, elle vit dans la ferme familiale à Intervale, NB. Son enseignement est recherché par les avant-gardes de la danse, du mouvement et de la santé. Ses écrits sont publiés dans des revues professionnelles et des anthologies sur le mouvement corps-esprit et l'autisme, tels que le "British Journal of Humanistic Psychology" et le journal Body-Mind Centering® "Currents".
