Atlantic Ballet Atlantique Canada We are one of Canada’s top ballet companies, touring across North America and Europe.

One of Canada's most exciting ballet companies, and based in Moncton, New Brunswick, Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada tours nationally and internationally. Stunning visual impact and a deep emotional connection with its audiences have made this Company popular with audiences around the world. The Company was launched in the middle of an Atlantic coast blizzard in March 2002 and took the Canadian

dance scene by storm. Dedicated to performing the original works by one choreographer - Founding Artistic Director Igor Dobrovolskiy – the Company creates original full-length ballets at home in Moncton and tours them across Atlantic Canada, throughout Canada and to the US and Europe. In 2009-2010, the Company tours AMADEUS to France and Switzerland and its newest production, ROMEO AND JULIET FANTASY to Florida and Atlantic Canada. In September 2010, the Company will open another world premiere ballet at "Beethovenfest" in Bonn, Germany. Beyond the mainstage, and wherever we tour, our education and outreach programs have provided unique opportunities for communities, schools, children, and families to personally connect to the arts. Meet Bageshree Vaze…

Atlantic Ballet Atlantique is proud to welcome Bageshree Vaze as part of IMPACTfest 2026.

An acclaimed Indo-Canadian dance artist, musician and writer, Bageshree is the Artistic Director of Pratibha Arts and an award-winning Kathak artist whose work brings together dance, music and South Asian cultural influences.

Her career has taken her to major festivals around the world, earning recognition including the K.M. Hunter Artist Award in Dance and a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Original Sound Composition. She is also an accomplished vocalist with five albums to her credit.

On October 7, join us at the Capitol Theatre to experience Bageshree’s artistry in Paratopias as part of IMPACTfest 2026.

Le Ballet Atlantique est fier d'accueillir Bageshree Vaze dans le cadre d'IMPACTfest 2026.

Artiste de danse, musicienne et écrivaine indo-canadienne reconnue, Bageshree est directrice artistique de Pratibha Arts et artiste primée en Kathak, dont le travail réunit danse, musique et influences culturelles sud-asiatiques.

Sa carrière l'a menée dans les plus grands festivals à travers le monde, lui valant une reconnaissance qui inclut le Prix d'artiste K.M. Hunter en danse ainsi qu'un prix Dora Mavor Moore pour la composition sonore originale exceptionnelle. Elle est également une chanteuse accomplie, à qui l'on doit cinq albums.

It is with a heavy heart that Atlantic Ballet announces the passing of Louis-Philippe Dionne's beloved dog Leia. Leia was the unofficial mascot and familiar face of our company for the past 10 years at our office - where she was quick to greet visitors and then roll over for a belly rub! Leia was a proud Ambassador of Atlantic Ballet alongside Louis-Philippe at many tradeshows in Canada from CAPACOA, Rideau, TIANB and theatres from the Capitol, the Imperial and the Playhouse.

She peacefully passed on Sunday at the age of 16 years old. Leia brought joy to everyone who had the chance to meet her. We will miss her kisses and cheerful disposition!

C’est avec le cœur lourd que le Ballet Atlantique annonce le décès de Leia, la chienne bien-aimée de Louis-Philippe Dionne.

Au cours des dix dernières années, Leia a été la mascotte officiel et un visage familier de notre compagnie. À nos bureaux, elle accueillait chaleureusement les visiteurs avant de se retourner rapidement pour réclamer une caresse sur le ventre!

Aux côtés de Louis-Philippe, Leia a également été une fière ambassadrice lors de nombreux salons professionnels partout au Canada, notamment ceux de CAPACOA, RIDEAU et TIANB, ainsi que dans plusieurs théâtres, dont le Théâtre Capitol, l’Imperial Theatre et le Fredericton Playhouse.

Leia s’est éteinte paisiblement dimanche, à l’âge de 16 ans. Elle a apporté de la joie à toutes les personnes qui ont eu la chance de la rencontrer. Ses bisous et sa personnalité enjouée nous manqueront énormément.

Nous avons eu l'honneur d'accueillir Bertrand Cahuet, Consul général de France pour le Canada Atlantique, qui nous a fait part de son appréciation pour le dévouement et le talent qui font la magie du Ballet Côte Mer.

Un grand merci à toutes les personnes qui ont été des nôtres pour ces incroyables soirées de danse au bord de l'eau cet été!
