The Riverbend Revue

The Riverbend Revue Basically we are a "POWER FAILURE" band. Love, Bernie, John, Myles and Wally Music for now, more to come. What do you like to do? Stay tuned for dates and times.

With just a few instruments, no overdubs and minimal post-production, our recordings are pretty much what you'd hear by candlelight if the power went out. The Riverbend Revue is an exciting new concept for performers in the southeast New Brunswick area, providing:

• FOR PERFORMERS a venue to showcase original or unique material. While the pub scene is awesome, it is not always the best place to

stretch your wings and show something new.
• FOR THE AUDIENCE something different than the usual pub fare. Want to see interesting local talent that you might have missed?
• FOR THE COMMUNITY support to local causes. A registered charity or not-for-profit program operating in our community will be featured at each show, and profits from the show will be donated to the charity. The Revue’s house band “Frayed Knot” will get things started and work on recruiting guest musicians. We are looking for other types of performers though – comedy, poetry, dramatic reading, step dance, who knows. The Moncton Press Club has graciously agreed to be home to The Revue.

Many thanks to all you generous folks who supported our fund raiser for the Peter McKee Community Food Centre. In all we raised $1,213.08! Also, big props to the Moncton Press Club for providing the room AND topping us up with a monetary donation!

Greetings folks and Happy Holidays!

We are posting our new Christmas song. It’s the second in the BIG WILLIE AVERRY series. The songs are meant for you to listen to individually, but they are also woven together into a deeper story. You’ll find out a bit more about WILLIE AVERY in this one, and quite a bit more about SAMMY GREER. If you get interested, the details will become important later on. You see, each song reveals a bit more about the story of the Riverbend. Most are laced with Easter egg clues. We have a long way to go. There is the malevolent Judge Rust Doyle and his courtroom antics, the arrest of Stuart Castle at the corner of Wheeler and Botsford, and the sad fate of one Riverbend resident that will be told in our next release DRUGSTORE FLOWERS.
