Calling all performers! 🚨

1890 Junction Theatre Co., Hairy Tease Productions, Hubcity Theatre, and Rogue Productions are holding joint General Auditions in Moncton on June 20th and 21st for their upcoming 2026-2027 seasons. We are looking for:

✅ Actors
✅ Singers
✅ Dancers
✅ Performers of any kind

Sign-ups are now open, and we can’t wait to meet you. We’re asking all interested to prepare up to 10 minutes of anything that shows off your skill the best. Sing, dance, act, or just chat with us and get to meet us. We’re very interested in meeting people new to us, as well as any returning faces we haven’t seen in a while!

Finally, a new face to the Hideaway Cabaret stage, our last cast member of Miscast 2026 is Myles Botten!

Myles is thrilled to be making his cabaret debut with 1890 Junction Co. He is a local actor and singer who has been in several local productions with Hubcity Theatre, Hazy Grape Theatre Collective, and more. Recent credits include August: Osage County, Julius Caesar, and Little Shop of Horrors.

A new face to us, but not to the theatre scene in the city, our next cast member of Miscast 2026 is Sarah Hackett!

Sarah Hackett is an 18 year old local actress who has been doing musical theatre for over five years. She has joined the Capitol Theatre cast in The Sound of Music, The Little Mermaid, and The Addams Family. She has also been in two Broadway revues with Hazy Grape Theatre Collective, as well as various plays over her years in high school and beyond.

Two returners to the 1890 stage, welcome our next cast members of Miscast 2026, Jeremy and Molly Nelson!

Move over Billy Ray and Miley, Lionel and Nicole, Donald and Ivanka - this father-daughter duo of Jeremy (father, left) and Molly (daughter, right) Nelson couldn’t be more excited to continue their show business takeover on the Hideaway Cabaret stage. Fun fact about Jeremy: once invented, but failed to patent, slippers with headlights for safe nighttime travel. Fun fact about Molly: has a street named after her at the Magnetic Hill zoo.

From outside the city limits in the capitol city of Fredericton, our next cast member of Miscast 2026 is Isaac Gilbert!

Isaac is a Fredericton based performer and is pumped to be performing in Moncton for the first time! Isaac has worked with a variety of theatre companies including TNB, Rogue Productions and Branch Out Productions. Selected credits include Spring Awakening, Footloose and Groundhog Day. He would like to give special thanks to his family, friends and mentors who have supported him in pursuing his passions.

Another returnee to the Hideaway Cabaret stage, our next cast member of Miscast 2026 is Ashley Ross!

Ashley is thrilled to return for her second Hideaway Cabaret with 1890 Junction Theatre Co. While many of her credits include “Sports Mom belting show tunes in the family van on the way to the rink or baseball field,” she’s always grateful when the stars align and she finds herself back on stage.

Recently, you may have seen her in Bringing Back Broadway 2026 at the beautiful Capitol Theatre (Hazy Grape Theatre Collective) or in the phenomenal 2023 production of Jesus Christ Superstar (HubCity/1890 Junction).

Joining us from sunny Saint John, our next cast member of Miscast 2026 is Greg Robinson!

Greg Robinson is a theatre artist and educator, born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick. A graduate of St. Thomas University’s Musical theatre and education programs, Greg now teaches at St. Malachy’s Memorial High School in Saint John, where he also directs the school theatre program. Recent Theatrical credits include Nicely-Nicely Johnson in “Guys and Dolls” (Rogue Productions), Max in “Lend me a Tenor” (Saint John Theatre Company), Dr. Scott in “The Rocky Horror Show” (Rogue), as well as Greg/Swing in “Come From Away” (Rogue/SJTC).

This is Greg’s first cabaret with 1890, and he’s so excited to work with such a fantastic group. Enjoy the show!

Back for her second Hideaway Cabaret, the next cast member of Miscast 2026 is Caroline C**n!

Caroline is a performer based out of Fredericton, and she is thrilled to be back for her second cabaret with 1890! She is a graduate of Randolph College for the Performing Arts and received her Honours BA from the Marilyn I Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts at Brock University. She is also the co-founder of Non-Stop Theatrics, a theatre company based in Fredericton. Recent acting credits include Shrek the Musical, The Addams Family, The Sound of Music (Capitol Theatre), The Master Builder (Atlantic Repertory Company), Come From Away (Rogue/SJTC), Rocky Horror Show, Rock of Ages (Rogue Productions), Salt-Water Moon (Non-Stop Theatrics) and Christmas at Pemberley (Theatre New Brunswick). You can catch her back onstage this fall in Moncton in Come From Away, playing at the Capitol Theatre September 2–5.

Introducing the first cast member of Miscast 2026, meet a newcomer to the 1890 stage, Olivier Émond!

Olivier Émond is a passionate young performer who has loved music, singing, piano, and the stage from an early age. He has appeared in four musical theatre productions at the Capitol Theatre in Moncton: The Sound of Music, The Little Mermaid, The Addams Family and Shrek the Musical. He has also performed with Hazy Grape Theatre Collective, Hubcity Theatre and in other productions in New Brunswick.

He completed intensive musical theatre training with the Stratford Festival in 2025 and will participate in the 2026 edition.

Olivier is a member of Jeunes chanteurs d’Acadie, enjoys television and film work, and performs music with his family. He currently attends École Clément-Cormier, where he serves on the student council.

Olivier is excited for this first collaboration with 1890 Junction Theatre Co.

Just under three weeks until our last Hideaway Cabaret of the season: Miscast!

Miscast gives you a chance to experience Broadway turned on its head! Watch as our performers tackle songs outside of their usual type. Songs will be sung by alternate genders, differing ages, opposite everything! Come close out our season with this twist on your favourites!
