One of my favourite things to paint is by far a
🦋✨Butterfly✨🦋 They are just so fun! I get to use my favourite blue split cakes, create fun line work, and add lots of glitter!!✨And thankfully for me… everyone loves a butterfly face paint.🥰

These are the first three in a collection of Indigenous-inspired face paint designs I’ve been creating. ❤️

Each one has its own story, but the blue bear holds a special place in my heart. It was inspired by a beautiful dot art painting created by my Kokum Pheb. Being able to take inspiration from her artwork and transform it into something I can share through face painting feels incredibly meaningful to me.

I also wanted to celebrate some of the things that remind me of home and our culture—from strawberries and florals to the Métis infinity symbol and fiddle music.

Face painting has become more than just painting faces for me. It’s a way to celebrate culture, spark conversations, and hopefully create something that makes people smile.

This is only the beginning, and I already have so many more ideas I can’t wait to paint.

What an amazing weekend at the Grande Prairie Powwow! ✨

I had so much fun face painting so many beautiful smiles and getting to be part of such a special celebration. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table, sat in my chair, shared a laugh, and let me add a little colour and sparkle to your day! 🎨💖

A huge thank you to the Dawson Creek Nawican Friendship Centre for inviting Aunty’s Party Palette to be part of your Indigenous Peoples Day celebration! ❤️💛🖤🤍

I had such a wonderful time face painting and meeting so many amazing people throughout the event. Seeing everyone’s smiles, excitement, and creativity made the day so special!

If you stopped by my face painting station, I’d love to see your photos! 📸 Please share your face paint pictures in the comments below—I didn’t get a chance to take photos of everyone, and I’d love to see all the beautiful designs out in the wild!

I’d like to thank the Nawican Friendship Centre for inviting me to be part of their Indigenous Day Celebration! 🎉🧡
