Although the Morphology 2026 exhibition has ended, the story of the Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area continues to inspire.

At Pazan Gallery, we are honoured to display a selection of Marcelo Leonardo Pazan's early photographs documenting the beginnings of this remarkable transformation—from industrial lands to a thriving conservation area on the shores of Lake Ontario.

We are especially grateful to the late Jim Tovey, whose vision, determination, and love for our waterfront made this project possible. His legacy lives on in every trail, wetland, and habitat that now flourishes at the site.

We also thank Robert MacAskill of Robert MacAskill Pictures Limited for beautifully capturing this journey through film, preserving the stories, people, and passion behind a decade of transformation.

Special recognition goes to fellow photographers Mike Scholz, Annette Seip, Bob Warren, Darren Clarke, Gabriella Bank, Sandor Bank, Heather Doyle, Julie Knox, Lachlan McVie, Martin Pinker, PJ Bell, and Stephen Uhraney, whose work helped document this historic project.

We encourage everyone to visit the Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area and experience firsthand one of Mississauga's greatest environmental success stories.

Something new was born last night.

Last night was a very special evening for Port Credit and for the City of Mississauga.

I was proud to attend the inaugural concert of the Canada Virtuoso Ensemble, Mississauga’s first all-professional classical music ensemble, founded and led by Maestro Carlos Bastidas.

Pazan Gallery is honoured to be one of the sponsors of the Canada Virtuoso Ensemble, and Gloria and I are so proud to support Carlos’ dream of bringing a professional classical ensemble to our city. This was more than a concert — it was the beginning of something important for Mississauga’s cultural future.

The musicians performed beautifully for the Port Credit audience, filling Christ First United Church with the timeless music of Vivaldi, Handel, Geminiani, Schubert, and more. It was an inspiring reminder of how much talent, vision, and artistic excellence we have right here in our own community.

A heartfelt thank you to Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish, Ward 1 Councillor Stephen Dasko, and Mike Douglas from the Mississauga Arts Council for supporting the arts and recognizing the importance of this new cultural development in our city.

Carlos is already planning more concerts, and this inaugural presentation was a powerful first step toward establishing world-class classical music as part of Mississauga’s identity.

We are so excited to see this new chapter unfold in our city and right here in our beautiful Port Credit village.

Congratulations to Maestro Carlos Bastidas, Anna Wojcik, and all the incredible musicians of the Canada Virtuoso Ensemble. Pazan Gallery is proud to support you.
