Parveen Kaur Parveen Kaur is a land scape artist who paints life size pictures of trees, oceans and clouds. For the last thirty-one years, I have been, a full-time artist.

Mostly I work with oils or acrylic on canvas. I generally create very large paintings, eight feet by six feet on average. I buy raw canvas rolls and stretch the canvas myself. I prime the canvas and it is ready to be painted on. I quickly sketch with paint and brush, the picture that is on my mind. I start working on it. I work on it for days, which become weeks. I keep on painting till I am satis

fied. Or am I satisfied! In the end, it may never look like what I started to paint in the first place.

When you have a lifelong partnership, when you create a family together, and walk side by side emotionally dependent on each other for decades, that is love. What is marriage? Marriage is a commitment and it is serious business. It is not an affair. Every marriage that lasts for decades is based on love. For centuries we humans created families and worked hard to keep them together and happy. I am surprised when people ask,”was your marriage a love marriage?” This question itself is rude and senseless.
