Big Update for Canadian Immigration Applicants!

IRCC has tightened its verification process for immigration language tests.

✅ Officers will now cross-check applicant photos with language test records.
✅ They will review case notes and testing provider alerts for any signs of fraud.
✅ If fraud is confirmed, applications may be refused for misrepresentation.

If your language test is genuine, there's nothing to worry about. Just make sure all the information you submit is accurate and authentic.

An internal report from the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has raised serious concerns over fraud and misuse of Canada’s trucking-related LMIA system. The document highlights cases where small trucking firms with just one or two trucks were reportedly approved to hire far more foreign workers than their actual operational capacity could justify. It also flags fabricated job offers, fake employment histories, and questionable language test submissions linked to multiple applications.

The report further notes allegations that LMIA-linked jobs were sometimes sold for amounts ranging between $10,000 and $70,000, raising concerns about a growing black market for Canadian work permits. Meanwhile, the number of Vulnerable Workers Open Work Permits has surged sharply from about 875 in 2021 to more than 9,600 in 2025, reflecting rising cases of exploitation and abuse in employer-tied work arrangements. Authorities continue to stress that while not all employers are involved, the integrity of Canada’s immigration and trucking labour system is under increased scrutiny.

BREAKING IMMIGRATION UPDATE

Canada has introduced stricter measures to detect fraudulent language test results used in immigration applications.

Immigration officers are now required to:
✅ Cross-check applicant photos with language test records
✅ Review case notes and provider-issued fraud alerts
✅ Verify language test authenticity at every stage of processing
✅ Report suspicious cases to specialized fraud investigators

If fraud is confirmed, applications could be refused for misrepresentation.

Language test scores remain one of the most important factors for Express Entry, work permits, and permanent residence applications. Canada currently recognizes 5 approved language tests, while TOEFL is still not accepted for immigration purposes.

Canada Express Entry Draw Update Physicians with Canadian Work Experience (2026 – Version 1)

Canada has issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under a targeted Express Entry draw for physicians with Canadian work experience, continuing its focus on healthcare professionals.

• Invitations issued: 271
• Program: Physicians with Canadian Work Experience
• Lowest CRS score invited: 223
• Date of draw: June 24, 2026 at 14:00:30 UTC
• Tie-breaking rule: May 31, 2026 at 18:13:49 UTC

This round reflects a highly targeted selection, with a significantly lower CRS cutoff, prioritizing physicians already contributing to Canada’s healthcare system. Candidates ranked 271 or above received invitations in this draw, with earlier Express Entry submissions used as the tie-breaker where needed.

A clear signal that Canada continues to fast-track in-demand healthcare professionals toward permanent residency under the Express Entry system managed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

BIG CANADA IMMIGRATION UPDATE

Canada's Immigration Minister has announced a renewed focus on attracting and retaining professionals who can help address the country's most critical labour shortages.

The government is prioritizing permanent residence pathways for:
✅ Healthcare professionals
✅ Homebuilders and skilled trades workers
✅ Leading researchers and innovators
✅ Other in-demand skilled workers

According to the Minister, Canada's economic immigration programs will be improved to better meet national, regional, and local labour market needs while reducing duplication and processing delays.

The government also plans to:
🔹 Strengthen immigration programs and settlement services
🔹 Improve newcomer integration outcomes
🔹 Enhance recognition of foreign credentials
🔹 Work with labour partners on occupation-specific reforms
🔹 Create more efficient pathways for workers who can contribute to Canada's economy

This announcement signals a stronger alignment between immigration and workforce needs, potentially creating new opportunities for qualified professionals seeking permanent residence in Canada.

Major Family Sponsorship Update from Quebec!

Quebec has announced that it will reopen its family sponsorship intake on July 2, 2026, allowing sponsors to submit new undertakings for eligible family members seeking permanent residence.

Under the new two-year intake period, the province will accept a maximum of 15,700 applications, including 13,300 sponsorships for spouses, common-law and conjugal partners, and 2,400 sponsorships for parents and grandparents.

A significant change is that dependent children aged 18 and older will no longer be counted toward the cap, making it easier for families to reunite.

Quebec authorities have also confirmed that older pending applications will be prioritized once intake reopens. Applications submitted after the cap is reached will be returned, and processing fees will be refunded.

Those planning to settle in Quebec must follow a unique sponsorship process that includes obtaining a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) before proceeding with permanent residence.

With demand expected to be high, eligible sponsors should prepare their applications well before the intake opens.
