.gill is a Reporter for Focus Punjabi: Ontario at OMNI News. Loveen has a deep-rooted passion for telling community stories. Beyond her reporting in the daily newscast, Loveen has worked on three special series. This includes an 8-part investigative series on domestic violence in Canada, in collaboration with CityNews, which earned a nomination for the CEMA awards in 2021. A series on international students in Canada, which has been quoted in studies and articles worldwide. And most recently, a special series on the issues faced by senior South Asian immigrants in Canada.
In 2008, Loveen founded Amar Karma, which is Canada’s first South Asian non-profit organization to promote organ and tissue donation, leading hundreds of events across Ontario, British Columbia, and India.
Beyond her journalism and community work, Loveen has a passion for writing poetry, plays, and acting.
Loveen’s contributions have been recognized provincially, including the Leading Women Building Communities award from the Minister of Status of Women in 2017 and the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship in 2018.

As a long-standing collaborator with the Punjabi Arts Association of Toronto, he has contributed to numerous productions across a variety of creative roles. Through technical precision and artistic soul, Navjot continues to push the boundaries of Punjabi theatre to elevate cultural narratives for modern audiences.
