How can we spread mercy and compassion throughout our communities in Ramadan? 🌙 Find out this week during our second segment of Islam & Life in Ramadan: Ramadan Across Canada where we will talk about Mercy and Compassion in the Quran.

This week we will be in Edmonton, Alberta with guest speaker Dr. Mahmoud Ibrahim and Sr. Nakita Valerio.

⭐️Dr. Mahmoud Ibrahim is the Imam at the MAC Islamic Centre - Rahma Mosque in Edmonton. Dr. Mahmoud has been teaching Quran for 20 years. He has an Ijaza from Al-azhar Al-Shareef and from various scholars in Egypt in the Qur’an studies. He also has a PHD in teaching English as a foreign language from Alexandria University.

⭐️Sr. Nakita Valerio is an award-winning writer, researvcher,and muslim community organizer based in Edmonton. She serves as the Research Director for the Institute for Religion and Socio-Political Studies (I-RSS) and is the Editor-in-Chief for the RSS Journal. She is a graduate in history and Islamic-Jewish studies from the University of Alberta.
