Gen V season 2.
The show had us make these “sonic rifles” for the guards.

We used some of our old m16 airsoft replicas to attach 3D printed elements designed by the show’s artists. We integrated some LED lights as well for the hero versions.

We also made rubber replicas for that scene. When you have a cable lifting you off your feet and pulling you into a wall, the last thing you want is a hard piece of metal to come flying at you and knock your teeth off 😅
Those would definitely be our rubbers in this case.

The Boys season 5.

Even if this part didn’t make it in the final cut, we wanted to show what it is like to film with our LED replicas.

Actors get a something to react to, whether it is from the reciprocating bolt of the rifle, the noise or the light.
The rifles can be operated safely with no stand off distance and zero safety concerns.

In dark environments the flash has enough brightness to reflect on the surroundings and the actors, reducing greatly the work of the CGI department when they add their own muzzle flash and amplify the already existing effect.

We had such a good time using our building skills to make a movie prop.

Mr. Monk’s last case had the need for a model made out of LEGO.
Mr. Monk uses the famous bricks to recreate a bridge from a crime scene to help solving the case. We are not entirely sure why the version without grass was chosen at the end 😅

For a lot of us LEGO was one of favourite childhood toy and what spiked our interest in building things with our hands.

Prop making is never boring. There is always something different with each project and that was definitely one out of the ordinary.

A bit of an older one…. Chucky season 3!
In order to achieve this gory shot, we were asked to make rubber versions on this potato peeler. The blades were rubber as well with no armature so they can bend on the skin.

The set crew must have had a great time cleaning all that blood in between takes 😆

In 2024 we participated to a fun short film called The Second shot in Toronto.

We custom made the two duelling pistol boxes for this scene. Foam inserts underneath with green velvet over.
The boxes had to include all the necessary loading elements.

Our armourer on set took charge of teaching the proper loading technics to the actors and we are pleased with the quality shots that made it into the short 🤩

Back in 2024 we made some replicas that are not very commonly used.

The Unrestricted War was a thriller released in 2025. Part of the plot involved Chinese military forces and therefore the need for their standard issued Norinco QBZ 97 rifle.

These were made with a rubbery skin and hard foam backing.
