It's been a while since I posted I've moved on to my sailboat and have finally got it set up as a little studio. So I'll be sharing more often.
I am exclusively painting in oils now which is a completely different feel for me and I enjoy much more. And I am working on a new series which I will explain in some future posts. I like this monochromatic feel and the depth I can get with oil on wood.

I'm really getting getting inspired to do some more oil painting. Here's a clip of a wolf from few years back. I really enjoy animals and capturing them on canvas. Keep an eye out. This is my first attempt at a landscape acrylic...

I've been playing with the idea of having night paintings so that certain aspects of the painting could carry on into the evening. When the light goes down the painting starts to glow with the moon and the moonlight. So within the sun is the moon. It's super fun. The camera does not do it justice. The camera is capturing a very green looking light when an actuality. The light is more of a blue cool color, so it feels a lot like moonlight and it's pretty bright bright enough that it feels like a full moon. I think I'm going to do more like this. What kinds of things would you like to see glow in the dark?

If you look really closely above the whale you'll see some bubbles. This was a super fun piece to do. The details come upon you as you get closer to it.
