TODAY’S THE DAY! 🌊

The first day of ‘Chi Shanty Music Festival kicks off today in Miramichi! ⚓

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Bicentennial Park, 35 St. Patrick’s Dr., Miramichi

🚙 PARKING
Across the street in Nelson School parking lot.

🎟️ ADMISSION
Pay your $5/admission at the gated front entrance (cash and card accepted), leave us your postal code, and get your bracelet! Youth under 10 get in free!

🌧️ WEATHER
A few schedule changes have been made due to weather, so please check the updated schedule below before heading out. ALL EVENTS LISTED ARE STILL GOING AHEAD AT BICENTENNIAL PARK! Stage and viewing area will be under the shelter in the park, but make sure to bring umbrellas, and dress for the impending rain.

🍔 FOOD
A cash BBQ will be held in the park starting at 1PM, with all proceeds going to Friends of Beaubears Island and their work in protecting ecology and archaeology on Beaubears Island Shipbuilding National Historic Site!

⛵️FERRY SERVICE UPDATE
Ferry service to the Island will not be running due to impending weather.

Currently getting set up for this weekend at Bicentennial Park for this years ‘Chi Shanty Music Festival and wanted to shout out an awesome local business, Williston Portable Toilets!

Not only are they fantastic to work with, always friendly, helpful, and positive, they are also committed to giving back to our community.

One of the things we love most is their pink portable toilet initiative. Every time the pink unit is rented, Williston’s donates the proceeds to the Miramichi Emergency Centre for Women, helping support women and families in our region!💗

If your business, organization, or event needs portable toilet rentals, call Williston’s, and consider requesting the pink unit specifically! It’s a simple way to support an important local cause while getting the service you need!

IMPORTANT FESTIVAL UPDATE 🌊 PLEASE SHARE

Due to the forecasted weather conditions and lower than anticipated ticket sales, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Friday evening’s performance featuring La Famille LeBlanc at Ritchie Wharf.

We want to sincerely thank La Famille LeBlanc for their support of our festival, and we hope to welcome them back to the Miramichi in the future!

🎶 GOOD NEWS! 🎶

Dram & A Draw, who were originally scheduled to open Friday night, will now perform on Sunday at 5:00 PM at Bicentennial Park!

Additionally, our Saturday evening performances featuring Before The Mast and Pressgang Mutiny will be moving from Ritchie Wharf to Bicentennial Park. Performance times remain unchanged!

✅ All daytime performances on Saturday and Sunday are still happening as scheduled.

Throughout the weekend, all festival activities will be centered at Bicentennial Park, including our artisan market, and live entertainment.

🎫 Festival wristbands will be provided upon entry

We will continue monitoring the weather closely. If conditions require it, performances may be moved indoors to the Nelson Rural School Auditorium directly across the street from the park. At this time, however, all events are proceeding at Bicentennial Park as planned.

We look forward to welcoming you for a fantastic weekend of music, history, culture, and community on the Miramichi!
