Biographies and photos of all inductees honoured by the Minto Country Music Wall of Fame are housed on the “Wall” at the Minto Municipal Building at 420 Pleasant Drive, Minto, N.B. The Minto/Chipman/Grand Lake area has long been known for its country music roots and a great many local musicians and entertainers have gone on to make their names known – not only locally, but on a provincial, nationa

l and even international level within the music industry. In the late 1990’s, Ron Vautour, Gary DiPaolo and the late Paul Rollins formed a steering committee, with the goal of establishing a “Wall of Fame” to recognize the contributions of these talented individuals. Following a successful presentation to Minto Village Council by the late Chairman of the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame, Aubrey Hanson, the Minto Country Music Wall of Fame was established. The “Wall”, which displays photos and biographies of the 104 inductees recognized since 2000, is housed at the Municipal Building, thanks to the generosity of the Village of Minto. The Minto Country Music Wall of Fame is a non-profit corporation with a constitution, by-laws, and a volunteer Board of Directors that presently includes Doris Belliveau, Margo Murphy, Ronnie Vautour, Brent Buchanan, Wanda Grant, Wendy Robichaud, Lorraine McNeill-Krall, and Chuck Madott. The Minto Country Music Wall of Fame hosts an Annual Induction Ceremony, which includes dinner and entertainment for up to 350 people, with entertainment, raffles and a silent auction. Six (6) new inductees are honoured each year at the Ceremony. The goal of the committee is also to ensure that the 14 individuals presently inducted into the NB Country Music Hall of Fame - who are originally from this area - are also recognized at a local level.
