We’re proud to feature Joseph Swanek, an accomplished painter and lifelong educator showcased in the FASM Artist Directory. Working in both oil and watercolour, Joseph brings a classical approach to his art, inspired by the techniques and traditions of the Renaissance Masters.
🖼️ About Joseph Swanek
Joseph is a classically trained fine artist whose work channels the spirit of the Renaissance, creating paintings that evoke timeless beauty and elegance. Most recently, he completed the prestigious three-year Drawing & Painting program at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy, where he refined traditional techniques passed down through generations of master artists.
His artistic education spans decades and includes studies at the Ontario College of Art, the University of Guelph, Queen’s University, and the Angel Academy of Art. Throughout his career, Joseph has been recognized for his artistic excellence, receiving the Eric Freifeld Scholarship for Figure Draughtsmanship and the Loomis & Toles Company Scholarship for Drawing & Painting.
