An 11-year-old Brightonian is sharing his love of painting through his very first art exhibition.
Amin Nader, a Grade 5 student at Smithfield Public School in Brighton, has his colourful paintings on display in the office of the Drewery Street school.
“I am infinitely proud of him,” says his mother, Sarah BouDiab.
Amin is currently working with oil on canvas.
“He has been painting and drawing pencil sketches (for) a long time, but he formally started oil on canvas in October 2021.”
BouDiab gives thanks to her son’s artistic mentor Bernice Collingridge, and expresses appreciation for his classroom teacher and the school’s principal for offering the space for Amin’s exhibition.
“If you happen to pass by the office at Smithfield Public School, leave some words of encouragement for him to pursue his dream,” she noted.
