Honey Harbour friends! I’m helping with a fundraiser for our Honey Harbour Hoots Camp on Saturday August 17th. We will have an amazing day planned: Hatha Yoga with Dee Kenny , Basics of Sailing with Elaine McDonagh-Melchers , a catered lunch and then a Plein Air Watercolour workshop with me, Art by Alex😃 Of anyone needs a ride over to the schoolhouse by boat, I would be happy to squeeze a few in. Space is limited!

Just WOW. Thank you for being here and supporting Come Paint With Me this year! I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA. Starting up this business was absolute MAGIC, I can’t believe all of the special experiences we had. Unfortunately I hit a burn out this summer which caused me to have to abruptly pause this new venture. It was even too hard for me to come on here and explain- truly a wild experience for me. Getting on here to explain is proof I am feeling so much better, but I’m also going to be taking a much needed break from social media over the holidays to reconnect to everything I love and focus on creating without distraction🖤 If you are interested in following everything I’m up to, please check out my main account .
As for , I haven’t canceled the insurance just yet😂 Building this has been a labour of love, and felt so aligned with everything I am passionate about… so I’m just giving it some time to figure out how things will look next season.

How amazing taking the one and only Dr. Becky Po***ck out for a tour of Southern Georgian Bay today! She is the Executive Director of the Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere, and one of the most passionate and knowledgeable people we have ever met when it comes to our our environment and living sustainably. Becky will be our first guest expert guide on a Come Paint With Me excursion this August. We will learn about the unique plants of our UNESCO Bisophere, including edible wilds and our unique Georgian Bay lichen (then of course translate all of this inspiration into a plein air painting sesh!)

We are so excited for this and hope you will join for this amazing chance to learn and support the Georgian Bay Biosphere.

Your guide, Alex Art by Alex is a full time artist, mother and a real Georgian Bay local. She grew up in Honey Harbour spending her summers boating or fishing almost every single day. More recently Alex has discovered the amazing world of plein air painting.. on the stunning shores of Georgian Bay, no less! A day out on the boat, exploring the 30,000 islands always manages to feed the soul and is sure to inspire some incredible art! Congratulations to the 2022 Simcoe County “Spark” Program recipients!
The three finalists who made winning pitches were each awarded a $3,000 seed grant and mentorship to help them get started with their new tourism ideas. Best of luck to these entrepreneurs and their endeavors!
