🎭 An Exciting New Chapter Begins!

After 20 incredible years as Eventurous Theatre Company, we are thrilled to announce that we are becoming Sackville Theatre Society!

This transition marks a new era for our community — but our heart remains the same. The same passion for live theatre, the same dedication to our performers and audiences, and the same commitment to bringing extraordinary stories to life on stage.

To everyone who has been part of our journey over the past two decades — our cast members, crews, volunteers, sponsors, and loyal audiences — thank you. You are the reason we are still here, still creating, still growing.

Our 10th annual Eventurous Youth showcase went splendidly last night. Our students poured their whole hearts into their performances, and we couldn’t be more proud of all they've accomplished ❤️🎭

Ten years ago, we began this program with only eight students, and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching the group grow over the years. We’ve had students stay with us from grade 3 to grade 9, students come back to volunteer backstage in our productions, and students go on to join our adult company.

Last night, before our our performers went on stage, we had them share their favourite parts of the program this year. Students expressed that they liked having the opportunity to get out of their comfort zones, they loved having a place where they felt safe to be themselves, and that they treasured in the friendships they had formed. 10 years ago, this is exactly what we dreamed of when we began this program: creating something that is not only a chance for youth to explore theatre skills, but also building a safe and supportive community for youth to explore themselves. A community that lasts beyond the final curtain call. For us, this is what theatre is truly about. We can’t wait until next year!

And practiced with care,
While music and passion
are filling the air…🎶

Our junior and senior theatre classes are getting ready to take the stage this Saturday, in our 10th annual youth showcase! These young thespians have been working so hard, building confidence, memorizing lines, learning choreography, and cheering each other on along the way. We can’t wait to watch them shine on stage for their families and friends! 🎭✨

Sister Act is a high-energy Broadway musical based on the 1992 film of the same name. It follows Deloris Van Cartier, a disco diva who witnesses a murder and is placed in protective custody in a struggling convent. Disguised as a nun, she clashes with the strict Mother Superior but soon revitalizes the church choir, turning it into a sensational gospel group. As their new found fame attracts attention, Deloris must choose between her old life and the sisterhood that has become her family. Featuring uplifting music by Alan Menken, Sister Act is a joyful story about friendship, faith and the power of music.
