Our feature artist of the day is Linda Kirstein.
"I set aside my traditional art making tools, and painted solely with my fingers. This tactile approach, feeling the paint move on the canvas, guided each gesture. The shapes and marks are not representational, but rather emotion filled expressions of energy, delight, and celebration."

Kim Money’s solo exhibition consists of intuitive, mixed-media abstract pieces that emphasize colour, texture, and emotional expression. Utilizing materials like acrylics, graphite, and pastel, her work explores themes of nature and personal experience through free, layered mark-making.

Our feature artist of the day is Mary Wulff with her piece "Losing Ourselves in A.I."
I have always enjoyed the figure disappearing into a landscape, but lately I have begun to be consumed and intrigued by a world dominated by Artificial intelligence. What could be more abstract than a world that is configured of just ones and zeroes? I'm curious about how those ones and zeroes correspond to our internal health and well being, the likes and the clicks that keep us returning and clicking, in hopes of a hit of dopamine. I wonder what we are willing to give up of ourselves to have what on the surface appears to be a smarter, more comprehensive world. I think about how I perceive of myself within this world, and it lies somewhere between absolute freedom to imagine and a self-made prison.

OPEN CALL for COLLABORATION : THE ALCHEMY OF CREATING
DEADLINE : June 19th
Creative collaboration brings together two or more people, or entities to create a work of art. Collaboration is more than just one plus one, it aims to find a new and different “third voice”, one that creating alone cannot accomplish. We can all name famous
collaborations throughout history - Andy Warhol & Jean-Michel Basquiat, John Lennon & Paul McCartney, Martha Graham & Isamu Noguchi, Charles & Ray Eames to name a few. In each case, the collaboration created an inspired chemistry that allowed both of them to go far beyond their individual capabilities.
Exhibition Dates: July 3rd–August 23, 2026

This open call invites artists to explore the dynamics of creative collaboration. For our exhibition, The Alchemy of Collaboration, we invite artists to explore and expand their understanding of collaboration. To think of it as joining forces with a visual artist,
musician, poet, dancer, designer, architect etc. or perhaps a collaborator from the past who is no longer present, to see where the alchemy will take you.
