Metchosin Community Hall Most venues do one thing well. We do everything well. Metchosin's most historic venue is ready for your next event. This building has stories. Flexible rates.

For over 135 years, Metchosin Community Hall has been Vancouver Island's most versatile, and most beloved event space. Built in 1889 and held in trust for the community ever since, Metchosin Community Hall isn't just a rental space — it's a piece of living history. The warm wood interior, vaulted ceilings, and real stage have hosted over a century of weddings, concerts, dances, craft fairs, and celebrations of every kind. And now it's ready to be part of yours. With a main hall that seats up to 180, but can hold up to 300, two additional meeting rooms, a licensed bar, full kitchen, and a proper stage with lighting — we have everything you need and none of the fuss. Bring your own caterer, your own vision, and we'll take care of the rest. Available every day of the year. Free parking. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a full-scale event, Metchosin Community Hall delivers character, space, and affordability that no hotel ballroom can match.

Just wanted to give a special shout out to Ryan at Bijold Custom Cabinetry in Metchosin for cutting out the bats for our interactive bat booth for the Metchosin Hall at Metchosin Days.

The kids had the best time painting these cute bat cut outs and now we will be hanging them at the back of the hall to add to our bat collection on the fence.

Thanks again Ryan for your support and donation of material and time.

Bijold Custom Cabinetry specializes in creating bespoke high-end residential cabinetry and millwork, creating inspiring interiors with exquisite craftsmanship and timeless design.
