Merry Christmas to all of our wonderful students, supportive parents and friends in the dance community. We are grateful to do what we love and to be trusted with your children’s dance education. We look forward to all that’s to come for our students in the new year- performances, teamwork, excitement and fun 🤩

We are proud to be part of the Northeast dance community, home to many incredible studios. Thank you to everyone that nominated and voted for MDC as best dance studio in the NE this year.

SLEIGH, ALL DAY 🎅🏻💅🏻 This week marks the last week of classes in 2025. The students are full of energy and excitement for Christmas! The studio will pause regular programming on December 19th. Classes will resume Monday, January 5th ⭐️

Thinking back to this wonderful day where our Senior dancers were asked to perform at the Youth Matter Mental Health Symposium. It is such an honour for the students to be asked to use their art form to inspire and positively impact the minds and lives of others. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity and even more grateful that this event exists for the youth in our community and surrounding areas. and her team are doing groundbreaking work for children across Canada- she is a National treasure and we are so lucky to have her right here in our community. A very special shout out to our who so authentically shared her story and taught both children and adults so much with her wisdom. We are so proud of our dancers, Harper and all the organizers, speakers, volunteers and sponsors.

✨Please help us welcome Miss Tyrelle to our dance family and our 2025/2026 season faculty! Miss Tyrelle will be teaching our Junior Jazz combo class as well as our Tiny Tots Thursday class. Tyrelle is warm, caring and eager to succeed in helping our littles fall in love with the art of dance and movement. ✨

“Hello! I am Tyrelle Thomas and some of you may recognize me as a former dancer with The Melfort Dance Centre. Dance has always held a special place in my heart as it is one of the purest ways to express yourself through movement and music.

Over the last few years I have started a family and have a beautiful little girl and boy. I am hoping to be able to bring a sense of home to my students as they embark on their first years as dancers. I am so excited to bring my passion for dance, movement and music to the next generation of movers and I’m thrilled to be back at the studio that started it all for me, MDC❤️”

✨Please help us welcome Miss Camryn to our dance family and our 2025/2026 season faculty! Miss Camryn will be teaching our Elementary 1 Lyrical class this season. Between her strong technical background and passion for lyrical dance- we can’t wait to see what she has in store for the dancers✨

“Hi everyone! My name is Camryn Wassill and I am looking forward to teaching at MDC this year! I am currently living in Tisdale and working as a teacher at Star City School. I started dancing at the age of four in my hometown Zenon Park under the Nipawin School of Dance. I later moved to the Nipawin studio full time where I took ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, modern, and pointe. I have achieved my Advanced 1 Ballet and completed all the graded ballet exams with the Royal Academy of Dance as well as my Advanced Jazz and Elementary tap with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. I am excited to be teaching dance again this season! I’m looking forward to joining the MDC community and sharing my passion for dance with my students.”

She’s here! 💕
We’re overjoyed to share that Miss Danée and her husband Claye welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Emersyn, into the world on August 29th! 🌸Both Mom and Baby Emy are doing well and they’re soaking in all the love and cuddles as they settle into this sweet new chapter. 💗 Miss Danée will be taking some time away from the studio to enjoy life with her little one, but she’ll remain involved and helping us behind the scenes. You may even catch her subbing a few classes later this season! 👏We’re so happy for the new family of three and are sending them all our love and warmest congratulations. 🫶 Miss Danée is wishing everyone a magical start to the dance season- Emy is already our tiniest fan! 🩰✨
