We are less than a week away from the first rehearsal of our next session of Medicine Hat Sings! If you have already registered - great! We’re excited to have you join us. If you have yet register, there is still time!

Medicine Hat Sings is thrilled to present our next project: "Hat's Off to Broadway!" This concert presented by our Open Voice Choir, will include selections from both classic and contemporary Broadway musicals. No audition is needed - just sign up! The concert will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2025 at Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church. With the standing room only turnout for our last two concerts, we have decided that for this concert we will be doing two performances on the same afternoon, one at 1:30 PM and one at 4:00 PM.

We will be rehearsing on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-4:30 PM beginning on March 1, and running until April 26. There will be no rehearsal on Easter Sunday (April 5). Extra rehearsals may be added closer to the performance date, including a sound check at the venue.

If you would like to join us again for this exciting choral opportunity, please complete the registration form linked below. The membership fee for this session is $60. Fees can be paid by e-transfer to: [email protected] or with cash at our first rehearsal. This fee goes toward the purchase of new music for our performance, which is then added to our choir library after the performance. It also helps us to cover the cost of rental space for our rehearsals and performance.

Have you ever wondered what choral conductors are actually doing up there with all those mysterious gestures? Now’s your chance to find out! Join us on Sunday, February 8 from 2:00–4:00 PM at Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church (476 4 Street SE) where three conductors will experiment with different conducting techniques in front of a small choir of your MH Sings colleagues. You are invited to attend as a supportive audience, watch the conductors, choir, and mentors, and discover the magic behind the conducting curtain! It was so much fun to sing at the tree lighting at Midnight Madness last night and so gratifying to see such a big crowd. We hope to see you again tomorrow at 2:00 pm at Fifth Avenue Memorial United.
