What a week! Hosting the 10-Pin Bowling competition for the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games was a ton of work, but it was also one of the most rewarding experiences. Panorama Lanes had the privilege of welcoming approximately 115 athletes from across Canada to compete this week.
Watching these incredible athletes compete was something truly special. The smiles, the enthusiasm, the sportsmanship, and especially the raw emotion when those medals were placed around their necks brought pure joy.
There were cheers, happy tears, hugs, high-fives and celebrations all week long. These athletes reminded us what sport is really supposed to be about — giving it your all, supporting one another, celebrating every accomplishment and simply loving the opportunity to compete.
A HUGE thank you to our staff and volunteers who put in countless hours to make sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you. And thank you to the athletes, coaches and families who walked through our doors this week. You brought an energy to our bowling centre that we will never forget.
We are exhausted, our feet hurt, and I’m pretty sure we could all sleep for a week 😂… but our hearts are incredibly full.
Congratulations to every single athlete. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your journey and for leaving us with memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️
