On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour Survivors, remember the children who never came home, and reflect on our shared responsibility to advance reconciliation.

Reconciliation is an ongoing commitment, and one way we can continue that work is by creating opportunities to learn from Indigenous voices, knowledge keepers, artists, and craftspeople.

This fall, the Esplanade welcomes Brenda Mercer for From Hide to Rattle: Tradition & Craft, a hands-on exploration of traditional Indigenous craft and cultural practices. Through experiences like these, we can deepen our understanding of Indigenous culture and celebrate the knowledge, skills, and traditions that have shaped this land for generations.
