Up for the challenge! 🥌👍👏✌️🇨🇦🎨
IT TAKES A LOT OF PEOPLE TO MAKE A ROCK CURL. 🥌
Think about it for a moment. We’re playing curling in the middle of the Arizona desert. Not exactly a place most people associate with ice, rocks, and brooms!
And yet, here we are.
What makes the Coyotes Curling Club special isn’t just the ice, the rocks, or even the building we call home. It’s our members.
We’re a 501(c)(3), member-run nonprofit, and so much of what happens at our club happens because people genuinely care enough to give their time and talents to make it happen.
From preparing the ice and organizing leagues and bonspiels to teaching new curlers, welcoming visitors, volunteering at events, or simply lending a hand when something needs to get done. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and it’s easy to forget just how many people make it all possible.
And that’s really what this image made me think about.
It takes a lot of people, doing a lot of little things, to create something pretty special.
To our members, thank you. For your time, your enthusiasm, your friendships, and for helping us build a curling community in a place where most people wouldn’t expect to find one.
The rocks might be why we come together, but the people are why we keep coming back. ❤️
