“Domine Deus” from Gloria

Antonio Vivaldi wrote three Gloria’s, settings of the hymn Gloria in excelsis Deo. The most popular one is RV589. It is a vocal composition for choir with two sopranos, one mezzo soprano and one alto soloists. The soprano solo “Domine Deus” is number six of the twelve songs in RV589.
Domine Deus, Rex coelestis,
Deus Pater omnipotens.
Domine Fili unigenite, Jesu Christe.
Domine Deus, Agnus Dei, Filius Patris.
English translation:
Lord God, King of Heaven,
God the Father Almighty.
Lord only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father.
