Please join us in congratulating Scott Hill on his appointment as General Manager of the Flato Markham Theatre!

Over the years, Scott has grown alongside the theatre, serving in a variety of roles including Part Time Technician, Full Time Technician – Head of Lighting, Production Manager, Business & Rental Manager, and most recently, Acting General Manager since March 2024.

A passionate leader and advocate for accessibility in the arts, Scott introduced and continues to champion adaptive programming designed to welcome neurodivergent individuals and their families to enjoy live performances in an inclusive environment.

Beyond Flato, he’s an avid traveller, a former cruise ship theatre technician and lighting designer, and has toured across Canada as a technical director, proving there’s not much he can’t handle… especially if it’s a live production, life at sea, or occasionally outrunning wildlife in Alaska.

Congratulations, Scott! We’re excited for this next chapter and the future of the theatre under your leadership!
