My Mulan Introduction Video Featured at SUNY Lunar New Year Gala
A Cross-Cultural Dance Theatre Experience

This past Lunar New Year,
My Mulan was invited to perform at the State University of New York’s Lunar New Year Gala.

While we were unable to attend in person due to multiple performances and cultural events across Canada,
the production was still present in a meaningful way.

Jane — Artistic Advisor of My Mulan and Director of the Niagara Arts Centre —
recorded a special introduction video,
which was featured on the theatre’s main screen during the gala.

Through this moment,
audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds were introduced to My Mulan —
North America’s first original inspirational dance drama inspired by the story of Mulan.

More than a retelling of a legendary heroine,
My Mulan is a theatrical journey that bridges past and present,
exploring themes of growth, courage, and inner strength through movement and stagecraft.
