VILs were mailed on September 30 and should arrive by October 7.

Your VIL contains the PIN you need to cast your vote in the 2026 Municipal Election.

📬 Haven’t received your PIN by October 15?

Please contact the Election Help Desk at Town Hall during regular business hours for assistance.

Received a Voter Information Letter (VIL) for someone who does not live at your residence?

Please do not open it. VILs contain personal voting information, including a PIN.

Please return the unopened VIL to Town Hall so our election records can be updated.

Please note: Canadian law protects mail from theft, unauthorized possession and fraudulent redirection.

🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – September 30

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, Survivors, their families, and communities.

All Town of Marathon facilities will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, including the Peninsula Golf Course, Recreation Complex, LCH, Town Hall, and Waste Transfer Station.

🗑️ Garbage collection scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 will be moved to Thursday, October 1.

We encourage everyone to take time to reflect, learn, and honour the experiences of Indigenous Peoples across Canada.

Due to National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, garbage and recycling collection normally scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 will be moved to Thursday, October 1.
