The December prompt for our community art group was "lavender". I flew with the idea of a farmland view from a plane window. I always find it captivating and imagine what fun it would be to interpret in textile. The neat squares, in a variety mostly of greens and yellows ... and sometimes lavender!💜

I named this triptych "The Ethical Downfall of Lululemon". The idea originated from the word "lemon" which was the November prompt for our newly-formed community art group. Meeting with peers in this way has presented itself as an opportunity to think and do bigger, deeper, farther and put my comfort zone aside. I am open to new creativity, growth, resilience and giving failure the finger! Now, on to next month ...🤩

Are you a painter? I am not but if I was ... I would def check out this woman-owned, Indigenous run, local (Manitoulin Island, Ontario) and sustainable product. Pure beauty in every aspect of the word - wow! PS They even have a colour called "Lake Superior".🌊

I recently donated two pieces to the Group of Seven Lake Superior Trail's event, "Captured on Canvas" Gala. A delightfully lovely and 'licious evening raising funds for a worthwhile local effort. I feel such inspiration and gratitude to walk these trails often!🌲
