Let’s learn a little more about Reese...

When did you start dancing?
I started dancing at 3 years old.

What is your best moment on stage?
My best moment on stage was when the corals and I won the ONE finals and kept dancing after awards ended lol.

What is one of your favourite memories?
My favourite memory was when we did the Invictus games and met a lot of new people!

What is your favourite style of dance?
My favourite style of dance is lyrical or hiphop.

What are your plans for the next year?
I’m planning to go to Douglas college and majoring in accounting and hopefully joining the douglas dance team!

Is there anything PPSD taught you, that you’ll take with you?
PPSDance has taught me perseverance and that you won’t ever succeed unless you try.

What is your favourite dance costume?
My favourite costume was my Lalaloopsy costume.

Do you have any funny or embarrassing moments on stage that you’d like to share?
My most embarrassing moment on stage was when we went to festival ballet for the first time when we were younger and we all forgot our dance on stage and I ran to the front and gestured that we forgot lol!

What/who will you miss the most at PPSD?
I will miss all the days we have spent together and all the fun memories we have made throughout our lives, I will miss the corals the most, you all are like family and we have seen each other grow up and I can’t wait to see all of you graduate in the next couple years and see who you become!

We are so excited to announce that our dancers will be performing alongside Tyson Venegas in the Freedom Mobile Arch Opening Ceremony on Friday, June 5th!

Our dancers have been working incredibly hard, fitting in extra rehearsals alongside their busy competition and performance schedules to prepare for this exciting event.

A little more about the freedom mobile arch opening ceremony…

One of the most highly anticipated new music, arts and culture venues in North America opens on June 5th, 2026 with an evening hosted by Canadian music legend Jann Arden.

The venue, whose marquee feature is North America’s largest clean-span wood roof, is a spectacular tribute to the rich history of Canadian building design, products and technology.

The Opening Night Celebration will be a powerful, theatrical event that reflects the spirit of British Columbia. The program will spotlight’s homegrown talent alongside marquee names, many of whom have deep ties to the PNE and Vancouver. The evening will feature over 200 performers and is designed to reflect the creative spirit of our province, and of the shared history of the PNE and the role it has played in the collective memories of our province.

The Freedom Mobile Arch Opening Night is a variety show that is a distinctly live Canadian experience. The 90-minute event will blend a meaningful Indigenous cultural welcome, music, dance, comedy and storytelling into a celebration of our rich cultural past with headlining performances by Jann Arden and Colin James. Guests to this event will also have the first public opportunity to view the significant and important pieces of Indigenous art that anchor the venue.
