The ACT is open to current ticket holders, arts program registrants, and invited guests at this time for community health reasons. We are a non-profit public facility serving the artistic and cultural needs of the community's diverse audiences, operated by the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council. We offer:
- A 486 seat theatre (50 during restrictions)
- A 120 seat studio theatre
- A spacious art

🌞 Volunteer at Summer Camps

Arts On is seeking youth (14+) and adult volunteers to support our summer art camps for elementary-aged children.

Volunteers assist teaching artists in week-long programs, helping create a welcoming, creative, and well-run camp environment.

These are busy, engaging camps and a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with children and being part of a collaborative arts setting.

🆕 New this summer: After-Camp Care at Arts On Summer Camps

Arts On Summer Camps run July 6 – August 28 at Riverside Centre, offering a full summer of creativity and play for elementary-aged children.

For families needing extended hours, After-Camp Care is now available:
• Lunch Hub supervision (11:45 AM–12:45 PM) for full-day campers
• After-Camp Care (3:45–4:45 PM) for afternoon campers

Families registered for full-day camps plus After-Camp Care receive Lunch Hub at no additional cost.

🎭 One week to curtain call for the final Piano Bar before summer

The final Piano Bar of the season is almost ready to take the stage, but the opening number hasn’t been written yet. Kerry O'Donovan, singer & pianist is at the piano taking requests all evening, building the setlist live from the room—no script, just cue cards full of possibilities.

From showstoppers to sing-alongs, ballads to big Broadway moments, bring your requests and help decide what gets its time in the spotlight before the final curtain.

🌞 Summer Camps spotlight: Imaginative Play (ages 5–8)

A week of storytelling, movement, music, and interactive games designed to spark creativity and connection.

Children work together through collaborative play while building confidence, communication skills, empathy, and teamwork in a safe, supportive environment. Activities are inclusive and meet children where they’re at, encouraging self-expression and positive social interaction.

Families are invited to a showcase during the final session.

Arts On Summer Camps run July 6 – August 28 at Riverside Centre for a range of elementary-aged groups, with many creative options available each week.

Here are two featured camps for ages 5–8:

🎭 Imaginative Play (5–8Y)
A collaborative camp focused on storytelling, movement, music, and interactive games. Children build teamwork, confidence, empathy, and communication skills in a safe, supportive environment. Activities are inclusive and adapted to each child’s comfort level. Families are invited to a showcase at the final session.

🎨 Creative Arts (5–8Y)
Children explore drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture while developing imagination and personal expression. Each day features a new hands-on project in a different medium, with artwork to take home. All materials provided.

Arts On / The Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council has awarded $10,000 in scholarships to four graduating SD42 students, recognizing their artistic achievement and supporting their next steps in post-secondary education.
