Last night, Alouette Cemetery welcomed a very special group of visitors — a fearless busload of seniors who decided to spend their evening with the undead.

They braved the fog, laughed at the jokes, and didn’t flinch once… not even when the cauldron hissed back.

We’d like to think it’s proof that courage — and curiosity — only get stronger with age. 💀❤️

Ah yes, the mysterious visitors from …here one moment, vanished the next!

Rumour has it they snapped a photo with the pumpkins before vanishing into the night. Very stylish. Very swift.

They were in and out faster than a ghost on espresso, but we love that you included us in your spooky staff adventure!

In the daylight, it almost looks peaceful.
When night falls, we’re still dead… just better lit. ⚡️

BREAKING NEWS FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE
Authorities were called to Alouette Cemetery late last night after one of the resident skeletons attempted an unauthorized exit from the premises. Ridge Meadows RCMP arrived promptly and caught the culprit mid-mischief near the gates. No bones were harmed in the incident, though witnesses report a fair amount of rattling.

Officials remind the public that all skeletal residents are expected to remain within the cemetery grounds after dark.

UPDATE:
Ridge Meadows RCMP confirm the skeleton was apprehended without incident and returned safely to the cemetery.
The suspect claimed it was “just stretching its legs.”

Case closed — all bones accounted for.

The Bonebridge Chronicles - Episode 4 - "Preparing for My Close Up"

DIY Build Breakdown: Sculpting and Painting

After assembling and posing Reginald’s body, it was time to give his head the attention it deserved.
That meant removing it from the body — It’s much easier to sculpt and paint his head when it’s not wobbling around on a spine 7 ft up in the air.

➡️ Sculpting
• I used Apoxie® Sculpt to refine his features.
• I focused on building up the brow ridge to give him that arrogant, pompous scowl and a more dramatic, theatrical look. The change is intentionally subtle, yet quite dramatic.
• Apoxie Sculpt takes about 24 hours to fully cure. Once hardened, light sanding smoothed the edges so the new sculpt blended seamlessly with the resin skull.

➡️ Painting
• Base coat: matte bone white.
• Applied light washes of acrylic colour. You want to build up the surface slowly to avoid a ‘plastic’ look.
• I used a UV light to continuously check the coverage of the paint and avoid splotching, simulating the lighting he will be under out in the display.
• Brown washes work like a stain — rubbed off quickly, leaving subtle aging in the creases.
• I went back in with bone colour, layering back and forth to create a realistic surface texture.
• Sealed everything with a matte clear coat for durability.

Once painted, sealed and reattached, Reginald was ready for his next phase: wardrobe — learning how to distress his pristine suit so it looks like he crawled out of the grave…

The Bonebridge Chronicles - Episode 3 - "Some Assembly Resented"

🛠️ DIY Build Breakdown: Episode 3 – “Some Assembly Resented” 🦴This episode walks through the glorious mess of building Reginald’s body — a mix of haunt magic and hardware store brutality. Here’s what really went down:
🔩 Spine mods
· Removed two vertebrae to lower Reginald’s height. Otherwise, he sat too tall for the audience on top of the fence column where he’ll eventually be placed.
· Carved out sections of the plastic spine to allow ¼" steel rods to pass cleanly through the torso for rigid arm support.
· Room was also made to fit a 3/8 rod for the skull
💪 Shoulder + arm construction
· Shoulders re-angled for a relaxed but expressive posture — like he’s sharing spooky tales around a campfire, but really it was about creating rigidity for the rods to support the weight of the candle.
· Arms reinforced internally with steel rods and secured into place with epoxy. Elbows and wrists were permanently posed. (Epoxy not shown in the video)
🖐️ Hands – upgraded
· Cheap plastic hands were cut off and replaced with the more rigid hands from Spirit Halloween.
· Excess bone was cut off, holes were drilled and hands were mounted onto the steel rods.
· Fingers were heat-shaped using a heat gun, then dunked in cold water to lock the pose.
· One hand was shaped to hold a candle (unfinished in this episode), the other raised mid-gesture for dramatic flair. Maybe he’ll hold a bar on the cage… (you’ll see)
📐 Final posture
· Everything tested and locked down to survive the October elements.
· Candle is detachable for storage and upgrades…. You’ll see more about this when we get to lighting.
⚠️ Up next: Sculpting his face. But first… we remove the head.(He took it well. Ish.)

💀 The Bonebridge Chronicles: Episode 2 - The Three Axis Identity Crisis

Everything you see here—the skull, servo motors, and ServoDMX controller—are made by Fright Ideas, a Canadian company known for solid, reliable haunt hardware.

🇨🇦 If you’re in Canada:
I bought the full kit through Haunted House Creations. Between Canadian pricing, a decent exchange rate, and direct shipping to my door, it worked out cheaper than importing. No customs broker, no border pickups—just straight to the doorstep.

🇺🇸 If you’re in the U.S.:
You can get the exact same kit from FrightProps, a U.S. supplier I’ve used before with great service. I normally ship to a U.S. mailbox and bring items across myself to avoid brokerage fees, but this time, buying Canadian made more sense.

Either way, it’s the same Fright Ideas kit.

➡️ What’s Included in the Kit:
• Fully assembled resin skull
• 3 servo motors (jaw, tilt, turn)
• ServoDMX controller (pre-configured, plug-and-play)

➡️ Why I Chose This Kit:
• Simple, plug-and-play setup—power and audio in, and it runs.
• Head movements are random and pre-programmed within the ServoDMX.
• Jaw movement syncs automatically to the audio track (ServoDMX handles this directly).
• No need for custom programming or complex controllers to get started, but you can hook into the “Director software” via a Director Connector unit if you want to create custom animations later.
• Durable, professional-grade components.

➡️ Upgrades I Made:
• Upgraded to heavy-duty servo motors for durability.
• Expanded to a multi-channel ServoDMX for future additions (arms, second skull, etc.).

➡️ Setup:
Plug in power, connect your audio source, and press play—ServoDMX does the rest.
