Happy Family Day! Today we’re celebrating Aurora Theatre and the family that keeps the magic of movies alive in our community.

Run by Ian, Brandi, and Marek — with familiar help from Granny Heather and Uncle Pat 😉 — Aurora Theatre has been part of their family story since 2011. When the previous owners reached out about selling, their love of movies (and not wanting to see the theatre close) led them to take a chance… and Manning is better for it.

Being a family-run business hasn’t always been easy, especially with all the changes that come with digital streaming, but the support of this community keeps them going. Many local kids know Ian as the popcorn man, and his dedication to the theatre and its customers is truly one of a kind. Brandi works more behind the scenes, and together — with help from their family — they make it all work.

What they love most is the connection with their regulars and the joy of seeing kids experience movies on the big screen. The theatre is a place where memories are made — first movies, first dates, and even weddings. In fact, Ian and Brandi were the very first couple to get married there. For their family, Aurora Theatre isn’t just a business… it’s part of their life story.
