Apple updates Developer app ahead of WWDC 2024
Apple has released an update to its Apple Developer app in preparation for WWDC 2024, scheduled to commence next Monday.
The revamped Developer app will serve as the hub for 2024 session videos, 1-on-1 labs with Apple engineers and designers, and additional resources. Apple will stream the WWDC keynote event, the Platforms State of the Union, and other developer sessions throughout the week via the app.
With the update, Apple has introduced new features and enhancements to the Developer app. Users can now explore all WWDC24 offerings, including video sessions and consultations. The app will suggest related videos when a session ends, and it supports full-screen video viewing on iPhone when held in landscape mode.
Apple’s release notes detail the improvements:
Explore all WWDC24 has to offer, including video sessions, consultations, and more.
When a video ends, you’ll see a related video to play next.
When viewing a video in landscape orientation on iPhone, you can tap its thumbnail to present it full-screen.
We’ve fixed bugs and added various other enhancements.
In line with its tradition, Apple has also introduced new stickers with the pre-WWDC update. This year, nine stickers are available, many of which are animated. These can be used in iMessage, FaceTime, and other apps.
The stickers include animated emoji characters, an Apple logo, a Vision Pro, and static dogcow and Apple Park options:
