Do any of you do bullet journaling? I'm just getting started on my reading trackers, one for audiobooks and one for actual books and each has a page for non fiction and a page for fiction. As someone who really enjoys learning, I'm hoping this will help nudge me into reading a little fiction here and there too!

So the passion project kinda sorta flopped 😂 Originally I had intended to make a blanket / throw out of these puff flowers. Alas, once I made the first flower I realized these will not hold up to regular use. There's too much loose yarn and they would pill like crazy. So I thought, let's try plant coasters instead because I desperately need some colour in my home and these colours are too freakin stunning not to use.

I present...Plant coaster number 1! Isn't she gorgeous?!? I love these sooo much! It's a good thing I love plants because I think I'll be making about a thousand of these 😂

One of my favorite ways to use lace weight yarn is combining two different colourways to make a fi*****ng weight yarn with fantastic colour variations.

Here I'm combining Angel and Breezy in lace weight merino. These ended up in my stash because there was a bit too much variation from the main colourway so they're the lightest and darkest of each set.

On my needles is the beginnings of a top down sweater, pattern is Electricity.

Our Story

I am a stay at home mother of two and I opened The Fiber Imp in 2012 because I loved working with fiber but was making far more than I could use. The shop has since expanded and has become a family endeavor. My daughter Isabelle helps with all stages of dyeing, packing, labeling, and taking photos. My husband Dave does the heavy lifting and he is the face you will see when you come visit us at yarn and fiber shows. I produce the handspun yarns, manage customer service and do as much of the dyeing as my health allows.
