JaZanne Art's and Immediate Theatre group 'Brightside' wrote and performed 2 original stories for young children at schools and at Forest gate library in Newham. 'The children were completely engaged the whole time' Headteacher. 'It's so lovely having all these grannies in our school' teacher. 'I loved every minute of it, when are you coming back?' child. 'This is the first time I have acted and I feel much more confident now' Participant. We all had lots of fun, loved the responses from the children and enjoyed working together. If you haven’t already had a chance please vote for us, our project is Living Legends in the Forest Gate area, using the link and share the info with your friends and families.You will need to work, stay or live in Newham to vote. Below is a little bit of info about the project;

Living Legends is a creative storytelling project. It is designed to honour and amplify the voices of Newham’s elders through the recognition of their individual and collective contribution to Newham over the last 60 years.

We will explore themes such as migration, work and family through a series of reminiscence workshops using drama, music, poetry and writing sessions. By the end of the project we will create a legacy book and have public book launch to share our work.

Living Legends provides an invaluable opportunity to recognise the local legends living amongst us whilst offering opportunities to strengthen personal community connections, build self-esteem and develop new creative skills. Thanks.

JaZanne Arts group 'The Dream Team' are looking forward to performing their SOLD OUT original play 'Murder at the Manor' at The Southgate Club this Friday and Saturday. We are having a hilarious time pulling it all together and so far have managed to avoid any accidents considering the amount of murder weapons lying about!!

Only one ticket left for 'Murder at the Manor' and there's still a week to go! What on earth is going on in the photo?The cast are really excited going into our production week at The Southgate Club Over half the group last performed when they were at school and considering they are in their 60's to late 80's that's quite a time ago. They have created a hilarious show and challenge the audience to find the murderer. The group are backed by a professional live band and production team.

Wow! We are already sold out for our two afternoon shows of 'Murder at the Manor' So if you plan to come, book asap for the Saturday evening show as tickets are selling fast. 'Murder at the Manor' has been written and is performed by JaZanne Arts over 60's drama group at The Southgate Club entrance on Crown Lane N14 5EN - It is a hilarious comedy with wild and wacky characters all created by the group themselves.

JaZanne Arts had a final awards celebration at the AgeUk EnfieldParker Day Centre including many of the favourite moments over our 4 years there. We managed to fit in seaside memories, trains, Punch and Judy, movies including the groups own swashbuckling pirates show! An exhibition of their artwork, and stories, weddings, festivals, cake making with lots of dancing and singing.The group were really pleased with their golden awards, but we all shed a tear because we will miss our good friends there and wonderful times shared. Thank-you to Enfield Voluntary Action (EVA) Enfield Council and The Health Lottery People's Health Trust for the funding to all the amazing JaZanne Arts volunteers AgeUk Enfield Face Front Inclusive Theatre for all your support.
