Here’s a little secret… I LOVE to DJ. 🎧🤍

But when it comes to the parent dances, you may catch me hiding behind the booth with tissues in my hand. 🥹

There’s just something about watching a mom or dad hold their child on their wedding day. For a few minutes, it feels like they aren’t just dancing with the bride or groom standing in front of them — they’re holding every version of them. The little kid they raised, the teenager they worried about, and now the adult starting a whole new chapter.

Parents are such a huge part of how we get to these moments. They’ve watched the growing pains, the heartbreaks, the accomplishments, and all the little moments in between.

So yes, I’ll keep the music playing… but during parent dances, mind your business if you see your DJ wiping away a tear behind the booth. 😂🤍

These dances will forever be one of my favourite parts of a wedding day.
