Clayworx is a charitable arts organization, offering exceptional education programs in ceramic arts for all ages, a shared clay studio space for artists, and exciting community-building experiences with clay. Handcrafted pottery, made by our studio members, can be purchased in our store - whether as a gift or your own personal treasure. Support the local artists here in London.

~ Our Retail Store is open from Thursday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm.

~ Office Hours are 7 days a week noon to 5pm.

Our 10-week wheel throwing classes offer hands-on instruction, creative exploration, and a welcoming studio community for every skill level! Here you’ll find the support & inspiration to create ✨🎨

🏺Learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing

🛠️Practice centering, pulling, shaping, trimming, and glazing

🥣Explore mugs, bowls, vases, and other forms

🧑‍🎨Receive guidance and feedback from experienced & professional artist instructors

Soft Registration Deadline: SEPT.11th

Classes that do not meet our enrollment threshold will be cancelled on the 12th. After the deadline, you can still register for classes that have already met the threshold and are not yet full.

A look at our Tray Workshop at Huron University College! 🏺✨

Our members had the opportunity to explore hand building raku sculptures, pillows & boxes with creating wonderfully expressive forms & pushing the possibilities of clay during this past weekends 2-day workshop.

These pieces are now waiting for their next transformation! They’ll be raku fired later this September during our annual members exclusive Raku bash! 🔥✨

We can’t wait to see how fire, smoke & glaze bring these sculptures to life. Stay tuned for the results!

SOUPer BOWL TICKETS ARE LIVE!

The SOUPer Bowl is a collaborative annual fundraiser between Growing Chefs! Ontario Urban Roots London and Clayworx: Ceramic Arts Learning Centre , celebrating the power of community partnerships in tackling food insecurity on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

Guests will enjoy a lunch of homemade breads and delicious soups, each crafted by a Growing Chefs! Chef using fresh, locally grown ingredients supplied by Urban Roots London. Beautiful artisan bowls created by Clayworx: Ceramic Arts Learning Centre, will be on display for you to choose your favourite to take home. This event blends culinary creativity, local agriculture, and functional art into one communal dining experience!

After your lunch, attendees will vote on their favourite soup, crowning the next “SOUPer Bowl Champion” ~ winning a stunning handcrafted Clayworx trophy, and full bragging rights! You’ll have an opportunity to win door prizes and bid on silent auction items during your chosen seating.

INTRO TO PLASTER MOLDS

Learn the basics of plaster, types of molds & how to use molds with Dauma Stirbyte. On day 1 you will learn the basics - how to mix, pour & allow the plaster to set. You will make your one or two part mold.

On day 2 you will clean up your mold and prepare it for use. In the afternoon you will be guided through a hands-on experience on how to use your mold for press molding. Slip casting will also be discussed!
