acessories such as rulers, rotary cutters, pins, patterns, books erasable pens and much more! Fall 2008, on a quiet street in Union, just outside of St. Thomas, when Maria’s love of cross-stitching encouraged her to promote get-togethers among her friends and family to cross-stitch, she began to consider that maybe there was more she could offer her friends and family than just a meeting place. After weeks of encouragement and support, Maria’s website went live, offering all of Canada cross stitching products shipped right to your door, and the store was officially born on October 10th, 2008.
It didn’t take long before more people found out about the stitching group and the group began to grow! More and more people were coming to stitch and wanting to shop! Maria began to bring in products and carry stock in the basement of her house to supply her growing customer base with their stitching needs. Enlisting the help of her husband, Rui, he was soon helping in the building of specialty shelving and assisting with packing orders to help the growing demand.
The little store quickly outgrew the house basement, and was relocated to a brick and mortar store in Ingersoll where it grew and thrived for almost 6 years! Bringing in their youngest daughter, Cindy, they continued to increase their cross stitch stock, expanding into new areas such as yarns for crochet and knitting, Tatting, Rug Hooking, Hand Dyeing, Custom Framing and finally quilting in 2012.
Finally in 2018, after almost 2 years of dreaming and planning, they made the decision to relocate the store to London, ON, to a more open location, with better parking, room to expand and in a much larger community.
Here they continue to expand, maintaining one of the best selections of threads for cross-stitch and embroidery, and offering classes, Sewing machine Repair, a beautiful quilting fabric selection with pre-cut and kits, and recently the Authorized BERNINA dealer for London and area, they are excited for you to visit their family owned and operated shop and experience what they have to offer…..
