Legendary pioneer of hip-hop, Afrika Bambaataa has passed away at age 67. Born Lance Taylor in the Bronx, he was a pioneering DJ in the 1970s credited with elevating hip-hop from a local scene to a global, socially aware movement. He is famous for the 1982 track “Planet Rock” and as a master of breakbeat DJing.

Join us this Thursday Feb. 26th at for an evening of record spinning and celebration. We will have records for sale and prizes to win, including 2 tickets to this summer! There will tasty beverages at the bar, food available from , and maybe a sweet treat or two.

Danko fu***ng Jones. Founded 30 years ago in Toronto, this man and this band have been rocking stages hard all over the world. He oozes rockstar, he commands the crowd, and he doesn’t give a s**t about what you think. Ever since I caught the video for ‘Bounce’ on Muchmusic so many years ago, I’ve been hooked. Last night was a trip back in time. I was instantly transported back to the beer-soaked floors of Call The Office where my teenage self would see Danko sweat blood all over the stage many times over. It was loud, hot, and I loved every minute of it. To see him and the band again after all these years was pure rock n’ roll bliss. Thank you Danko, for always rocking. 🤘
