Bravo!!

Yesterday's concert was a wonderful success.
Our soloist, Leslie Kinton, gave an amazing performance of the Beethoven Piano Concerto no. 1!

The orchestra has a heartfelt thank you to our audience and donors this season for your support. Gratitude to our volunteers and Dundas Street Centre United Church for your welcoming engagement with our audience. We couldn't do our concerts without you.

Kudos to our orchestra members for another season of your commitment and passion to share classical music with our London community. A big thank you to Len and Carolyn for your leadership over another great season.

The LCO is looking forward to our next season and hope you will join us to share the music.

Celebrating the people who make our music.

In the last profile of our series, please meet Susan. She has been with the orchestra for 20 years and plays the violin. In addition, she is the current President of the London Community Orchestra. She has a few words to pass along about this season:

"I want to say a heartfelt thank you to our audience and volunteers for supporting us this past season. Your energy, generosity, and time truly keep the music going. We are so grateful to have such a strong community behind us. I also want to say a big thank you to the members of the orchestra for your dedication and passion—everything you put in is what brings our music to life in the community."

Looking forward to seeing you at our last concert of the season on Sunday May 3 at 3pm.

Beethoven...

When Beethoven was 17 years old, he travelled to Vienna to play for Mozart, hoping to study with him. The story goes that at first, Mozart was unimpressed—but when Beethoven began to improvise, everything changed. Mozart reportedly turned to those nearby and said,

“Keep your eyes on him—one day he will give the world something to talk about.”

Whether every detail is fact or legend, the moment captures something powerful in the meeting between two of the greatest musical minds in history.

On Sunday May 3, 2026 at 3pm, you will hear our soloist Leslie Kinton play Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no.1. The concerto is a triumphal blend of youthful energy, classical elegance and the emerging genius of Ludwig van Beethoven at the very start of his legendary journey. Leslie’s playing will confirm why we continue to talk about Beethoven.
