Against the Wind’ is the sixth painting in my new series, “More than a Feeling.” A 70s music–inspired summer journey through Southwestern Ontario, from quiet back roads to the shifting skies over Lake Huron.

Inspired by the wide open fields of Southwestern Ontario, where the wind moves through the grain and the sky turns electric before a summer storm.

Like the song, this piece is about persistence…standing tall and moving forward, even against the wind.

Introducing ‘Rico the Toucan’, 8” x 8” acrylic on gallery canvas.

Rico spends his days perched in the Costa Rican canopy, peeking through the leaves and keeping an eye on the jungle below. I imagine he thinks he’s very well hidden… but that bright beak gives him away every time. 😆

‘Riders on the Storm’ is the fifth painting in my new series, “More than a Feeling.” A 70s music–inspired summer journey through Southwestern Ontario, from quiet back roads to the shifting skies over Lake Huron.

Inspired by the moody beauty of Grand Bend, Ontario, where the wind rolls in off the water and the horizon feels endless.
