We’ve had a few people ask, so here’s a quick Spotlight 101.

Spotlight Theatre Kids Association of Lloydminster is a fundraising organization that supports youth performing arts in Lloydminster. We are not one specific class, studio, school, or production.

Our goal is to help local youth performers by raising funds, applying for grants, supporting equipment needs, and helping create opportunities that build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and community.

Simply put: we’re here to help young performers shine, wherever they are learning, rehearsing, and growing in Lloydminster. ✨

The gear is ready 🎭🎤

Earlier this week, we shared that Spotlight’s new microphones are now securely in the Association’s hands and ready to be used.

Now comes the part we’re most excited for: seeing them help young performers be heard, build confidence, and share their hard work with the community.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this possible. Lloydminster shows up for youth arts, and we’re so grateful. 💛

A big thank you to Gracey, Callie, and Natalie for representing Spotlight Theatre Kids Association at the Midsummer Garden Party at the Lloyd Public Gardens last Thursday.

We’re so proud to see local youth performers sharing their talent in the community and helping shine a light on the importance of youth performing arts in Lloydminster.

It starts with the first brave audition, the first missed cue, the first time someone says “try it again,” and the first moment a kid realizes they can do more than they thought. 💛

A stage can be empty and still feel full of possibility.

That’s what we love about youth performing arts. Before the lights, costumes, music, and applause, there’s a kid trying something new, finding their voice, and learning they can do hard things.

That’s worth cheering for.
