To those who belong to Metis Locals, Housing Groups, Friendship Centre, we would love to have you! Exercise your constitutional right!

Freedom of association is the right to join with others to form groups for any reason, as long as it doesn't harm others. It's a fundamental freedom in Canada, protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

What does freedom of association include?
Joining political parties, clubs, or other organizations
Joining with others to pursue other constitutional rights
Joining with others to meet on more equal terms

Hi my wonderful people! Sammy and I have been making calls all week to try and get in touch, and many of you have out of service numbers. It is in the paper, but i'll also let everyone know here that we are getting together on the 27th for supper. AMNSIS will be here to update everyone with whats going on, and we will be updating info, holding our AGM and assigning cards. Please bring your Health cards and ID. This is for all indigenous in Lloyd, even Alberta side, and this would be a good time for the rest of your families to join! So share, spread the word and let me know if you are attending so we get accurate food numbers! It'll be in the basement auditorium 5009 48 street.

The Annual General Meeting has been cancelled for tomorrow due to lack of attendance confirmation, and illness on our Board. In order to have a successful AGA, at least 50% on the membership must attend. We had 8% RSVP to confirm attendance. So please watch for a rescheduled date, and to those who confirmed attendance, thank you!
