It is with great sadness that we share that Eva Moore, our first Artistic Director, has passed away this week.

Our festival would not exist without Eva's passion, steely determination, and vision. She took a concept brought to her in her role as Executive Director of the NS Drama League (now Theatre Nova Scotia) and, working with local volunteers, built what has become a festival loved by theatre troupes from around the world.

Guiding our festival for many years, Eva created decades-long friendships, built skills in our community, and put Liverpool on the world's stage. Eva was a force to be reckoned with, and we will miss her humour, her kindness, her 'get-er done' approach, and her love for theatre in Liverpool.

We send our sincere sympathy and love to Eva's family and friends, especially Julia and Lily.
