SCAM ALERT: FAKE OKTOBERFEST YQL VENDOR INVITATIONS

We have been made aware that an individual identifying himself as “Martin” is contacting local businesses and inviting them to participate as vendors at Oktoberfest YQL 2026.

This individual is NOT affiliated with Oktoberfest YQL or Gemini Entertainment, and these vendor invitations are not coming from us.

The message we have seen asks vendors to pay fees of $650 to $750 to secure a spot. These are not our vendor rates. Please do not send this individual money, provide payment information, or complete any application they send you.

We have contacted this individual directly and issued a cease-and-desist, demanding that they immediately stop representing themselves as connected to Oktoberfest YQL or soliciting vendors on our behalf. We are also reporting the messages and account that have been brought to our attention.

If you receive a message like this:

* Do not respond or send payment.
* Do not provide personal, business, or banking information.
* Report the email/account as spam, phishing, or fraud.
* Verify any questionable communication directly with Oktoberfest YQL or Gemini Entertainment through our official channels.

Please share this warning, particularly with local food vendors and businesses, so others are aware of what is happening.

All legitimate Oktoberfest YQL vendor communication comes directly from our event team.

A big thank you to everyone who followed the clues, explored Lethbridge and joined in on the fun. We hope you had as much fun hunting as we did putting it together.
